Approach to Psychotherapy

I obtained my undergraduate degree in psychology and fine art from the University of British Columbia. I combined my two passions for art and psychology in my masters degree, where I trained clinically in counselling & art therapy. I have a deep love for creative expression and a keen interest in how societal values, culture, and our early childhood experiences form our own narratives about ourselves, others and how we ultimately navigate the world.  I'm trained in a range of traditional verbal modalities of counseling as well as expressive therapies including: Jungian, Narrative, Existential, Sandtray & AEDP.

My work is informed by many different theories and I take a holistic approach to supporting clients. First and foremost, I work from a client-centered place. From there, we can safely explore and work through what you are struggling with in an environment where you feel heard, seen and supported.

YOU ARE THE EXPERT OF YOUR OWN LIFE.

My first priority in our time together is that you feel safe & supported. I may offer interpretations, ask questions, give rise to contradictions & encourage you to feel what surfaces. It is from this place that healing is possible, beginning with your vulnerability and courage to share your story.
